Puyo Puyo Enterprises is specializing in clothing, household items, books, comics, TV, movies, video games, board games, music videos, notebooks and interactive entertainment articles based on the Puyo Puyo franchise. Puyo Puyo Enterprises was established as a joint venture between Compile and Sega on June 16, 1995, and began a advancing deal with Cartoonverse Worldwide starting in late 1995, for products throughout May 8, 1998, when the deal expires, four years later before Puyo Puyo Enterprises is acquired by Cartoonverse Worldwide. Puyo Puyo Enterprises included Puyo Puyo Films, Puyo Puyo Television, Puyo Puyo Direct-to-Video Consumer Products & Film, Puyo Puyo Interactive, Puyo Puyo Music and The Puyo Puyo Music Community Group, best known for their movie, direct-to-video, television, interactive, music and consumer products productions including the Puyo Puyo franchise and The Adventures of Lipsy & Victoria, which are all distributed by Cartoonverse Worldwide. Puyo Puyo Enterprises reestructured and upgraded its music among James Horner's score for 1998 film Deep Impact on May 8, 1998 and ultimately the Puyo Puyo-branded incarnation (via Puyo Puyo Enterprises), a.k.a. the Puyo Puyo techscore, under John Debney's Ice Age: Collision Course score, on July 21, 2006. Sega of America gain fully control of Puyo Puyo Enterprises in December 2010 after the administration and defunct end of Backyardigans Agencies.

On June 30, 2013, Disney Channels Worldwide acquired Puyo Puyo Enterprises from Cartoonverse Worldwide and merged it with its operations, as well as acquiring the television library of the franchise to be available for broadcast on the international channels of the Disney brand, which will premiere on May 27, 2015 until December 28, 2016, when Disney XD suddenly announced a license agreement with Sesame Workshop to bring Puyo Puyo Chronicles on television, and also Sesame Workshop would take Sesame Street from HBO and PBS to that channel to broadcast their final broadcasts during late 2010s. WarnerMedia/The Onward Company's Warner Bros., co-owner of The Adventures of Lipsy & Victoria, assumes full ownership of the property and re-upgraded it as a Warner Bros. Animation franchise in late 2013.

The series premiered on May 4, 2017 and served as the end of the Puyo Puyo merchandise. The license agreement between the two companies, the network Disney XD and the company Sesame Workshop, was announced in December just after the close of Rockville Worldwide Studios. On January 13, 2017, Star vs. the Forces of Evil would be one of the three remaining shows on Disney XD along with Puyo Puyo Chronicles and Sesame Street, until the official closing of Disney XD on June 14, 2018.
